The Delco Soccer League is pleased to announce its 2010 Columbus Day Tournament. The tournament offers divisions for girls under 9-14 and boys under 9-14.Once again Goose Gosselin, its tournament director promises great competition, and fun for all who participate. The tournament games will again be played in the
West Chester
and Paoli areas. (thirty minutes from both Philadelphia & Wilmington Delaware). The tournament will be held on Saturday October 9th and
Sunday October 10th, 2010
Teams who participate will be provided with quality competition for both Boys and Girls teams, under 9 through under 14.
All under 9 through under 11 teams will play 8-v-8 games consisting of 25 minute halves.
All under 12 through under 14 teams will play 11-v-11 consisting of 30 minute halves.
Teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games.
Divisions offered for both girls and boys teams are:
Premier ... Premier Level Teams
Gold ... 1st or 2nd Division Level Teams
Blue ... 3rd or 4th Division Level Teams

The Tournament Entry Fee is
$495.00 for U 12-14
$450.00 for U-09-11.
A maximum of three guest players may be used during the tournament. Guest players must be current registered with a USSF affiliated organization, whose club team is not participating in the Delco Columbus Day Tournament. USYSA out of state teams using guest players, your USYSA Permission to Travel Forms must denote Tournament Team with Guest Players. Teams failing to abide by these rules will not be permitted to use guest players in the tournament. A player may only play for one team in the tournament.
USYSA teams from outside USYSA Region 1 (& USYSA affiliated teams from NJ &
Conn.
) must have a copy of the Permission to Travel Form approved and signed by a duly authorized USYSA/USSF State Association representative. This is not required for USCS registered teams.
If you require more information, please do not hesitate to contact the tournament director. In the past few years we have had to turn away teams in a few divisions that were filled by the application deadline date. We strongly suggest you submit your application as early as possible.
The tournament director will confirm the receipt of your application upon receiving it. Game schedules will be available approximately two weeks before the tournament.
Awards - Individual player trophies are awarded to each member of both the first and second place teams in each division.
